Adnama Health & Wellbeing
Welcome to Adnama Health & Wellbeing, providing Nutritional Therapy to get to the root cause of your symptoms and/or illness holistically through one-to-one consultations, in person or online.
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the use of nutritional science to promote health, optimal functioning and wellbeing of the individual. This allows me, at Adnama, to work with the individual, you, to address nutritional imbalance and help support the body towards maintaining health using a functional medicine approach.
Are you thriving or simply surviving?
Your body is unique shouldn’t your nutrition and health support be as well? I can support you to heal your body the way nature intended helping you take back control of your health naturally.
The root causes of illness are different for each of us and what works for one may not work for another which is why, here at Adnama, I offer personalised, holistic, nutrition support to each of my clients.

What insight can nutritional therapy provide?
As nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to optimal wellbeing, you can trust that it can help you to tackle the potential underlying causes, rather than just the symptoms, of ill health.
From my clinic, near Whitby, I provide one-to-one consultations incorporating various tools for assessing the individual client’s health status and identifying potential nutritional imbalances that could be contributing to the client’s symptoms.
About Me
I have been involved in the world of Nutrition for a long time, albeit not in the UK! Following the completion of my MSc in 2001 I began a career in the Humanitarian Sector working as a Nutrition Programme Manager overseeing the operations of the Rehabilitation Centres for malnourished children in several countries on the African Continent (Uganda, Angola, Darfur in Sudan, Niger, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan). A hugely rewarding profession but simultaniously heartbreaking! On a daily basis it was the mothers and their children, and of course, my dedicated teams of staff that kept me going and smiling.
Fast forward to 2017, back in the UK for a few years, I took the decision to study to allow me to work again with people to improve their health through nutritional care, enrolling on a three year course with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and thus qualifying in 2019 as a Nutritional Therapist.
During this period I had my own health issues, namely stress, and used my freshly gained knowledge and that of a fellow Nutritional Therapist to work my way naturally back to health. A rewarding, amazing and eye opening experience to the power of our diet and nutrition.
Today, alongside my humanitarian work, I run a part-time clinic, Adnama Health & Wellbeing, providing one-to-one consultations in Nutritional Therapy.
